If you think Agriculture Union members employed by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency just ratified a new collective agreement, you’d be right. But, due to the lengthy timeline involved in collective bargaining, the process for their next contract is already underway.
Our bargaining agent, the Public Service Alliance of Canada, is now gearing up for a new round of negotiations with management. And, as a starting point, it wants to hear from our CFIA members.
The PSAC has set up a special page on its Web site that will allow members to suggest changes they would like to see made to the current collective agreement.
The on-line input form can be found HERE. You’ll need your PSAC user account to gain entry to the form. If you don’t have an account, setup is quick and easy (having an account will be useful going forward).
Grassroots participation is key to ensuring that our contract proposals reflect members’ concerns. Your direct input into the process is critical.
We strongly urge our CFIA members to take advantage of this opportunity to make your voice heard!
