Bargaining teams for Agriculture Union members employed by both Treasury Board and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency were back in Ottawa the first week of this month.
Negotiations for the two groups will take place separately on the identical dates of March 7-10. Wages that keep up with inflation and the job market, healthier workplaces and fair treatment for employees are overarching demands.
The CFIA contract talks are the first of the new year. Negotiations scheduled for last January were postponed to allow management negotiators to obtain a new bargaining mandate from the incoming Liberal government.
Members who wish to keep an eye on the progress of negotiations can sign-up HERE to receive e-mail updates from our bargaining agent, the Public Service Alliance of Canada.
